About

G'day. We built ZimQi to kill the Friday chase.

Somewhere in Australia right now, a business owner is scrolling a group chat trying to work out whether Davo did 8 hours or 6. We think they deserve their Friday arvo back.

The ZimQi emu on smoko, sitting on a stack of timber with a mug of tea and a closed laptop.

The founder

Gorky Sakhawat Sobhan, Director & Principal Systems Architect, based in Sydney, NSW.

Gorky has spent the last year building and running production automation for a major Sydney remedial builder. The same pattern keeps coming back: the work on site is fine, but the back office is where the day goes to die. Timesheets come back as text messages, photos and "guesstimate", and someone ends up re-typing hours into payroll on a Friday night while the crew is already home.

ZimQi exists to kill that Friday chase. It's built the way the back office actually runs: plain Telegram, a tap, a check, a signed record, and a clean file for the bookie. One narrow AI step tidies the messy bits; nothing leaves without a named person saying yes.

ZimQi is built and supported by Findertech Australia Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based systems and automation company.

Confirm-first, always

The software drafts. A person decides. That's non-negotiable.

One job, done properly

Timesheets first. New workflows only ship when they work end to end.

Be honest about what's live

What's real today, what's on the roadmap, and what ZimQi deliberately won't do — all stated in plain words.

Meet the ZimQi emu

Honey-brown feathers, a cream face and a cheeky grin. Orange hard hat with a pencil tucked in, hi-vis vest (orange, always), tool belt, and a clipboard with a green tick. Big boots, bigger heart. He's never missed a check-in in his life. He does, however, take a long smoko.

Same emu, different hats: the hard hat and hi-vis for trades, an orange cap and spray bottle for a cleaning shift, a security cap and torch for a night patrol, a care bag for home visits, and a sun hat and rake for the landscaping crews.

Legend has it emus can't walk backwards. Neither can a signed approval in ZimQi: once someone says yes, it's written down for good. (Our users get first vote on what to call him — as long as the Q stays in ZimQi.)
